We are a group of family, meeting up and supporting each other's lives. We offer practical help with questions related to visiting policies, understanding handbooks, and even insights into reducing time. Our community provides valuable information about the prison system in West Virginia. Both federal and state wives are welcome here. This is a place where you belong.
My journey: you are not alone
I started this journey 6 years ago and still have 4 more to go. My husband was sentenced to 40 years, and I became a single mom on Christmas morning 2020. I didn't see him for three years due to COVID and the challenges of navigating facility handbooks and rules. I wish I had a safe space like this one back then, so I wouldn't have felt so alone. My main reason for creating this community is to empower women going through similar experiences, reminding you that you don't have to lose yourself in the process.

Our support extends beyond online discussions. After engaging with our vibrant online community, we invite you to explore our calendar for upcoming meet-and-greets and advocacy events. For example, on March 2nd, we meet at the Capitol in Charleston, WV, to discuss our concerns and plans to change things for the better. Your voice matters.
